Honey Nut Bars

Ingredients
Yield: 16 bars
1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats (quick)
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Directions
Cream shortening, sugar, honey and add beaten eggs. Add flour with oats, coconut and nuts and mix thoroughly. Spread dough on cookie sheet or 9 X 13-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
Each serving contains 240 calories, 11g fat, 32 g carb, 214 mg sodium, 26 mg cholesterol.
