Banana Fudge Brownies

Ingredients

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
1 6-oz. package semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
1/3 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 small)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg


Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of 8-inch square pan. Melt margarine and chocolate in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and stir until blended. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake about 30 to 35 minutes or until center is set; cool completely. Cut into 2-inch squares.

Note: Recipe can be doubled; bake in 13x9-inch pan.

Each brownie contains 146 calories, 7.5 g fat, 19.5 g carbohydrate, 76 mg sodium, 13 mg cholesterol.
