Cherry Brunch Bars
Ingredients
Preparation time: 1 hour
Yield: 24-30, depending on size
1 cup butter
1 3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 16-oz. can cherry pie filling
Powdered sugar glaze
Directions
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and mix well into batter. Reserve half of the batter. Spread other half on the bottom of a greased jelly roll pan. Spread cherry pie filling on top. Dot the rest of the batter on top of the pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 40 minutes. When slightly cooled, drip powdered sugar glaze on top.
Each serving contains: 211 calories, 8.5 g fat, 31.5 g carbohydrates, 133 mg sodium, 56 mg cholesterol.
