Almond Chicken Soup

Ingredients
Yield: 6 servings
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups milk
1/2 cup ground almonds
1 cup light cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 1/2 teaspoons minced onion
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Combine chicken broth, milk and cream. Add all seasonings and part of almonds. Saute onion, butter and flour. Add to broth mixture; bring slowly to boil. Remove from heat. Serve with dollop of whipped cream garnished with remaining almonds.
Each serving contains 273 calories, 23.5 g fat, 9 g carbohydrates, 838 mg sodium, 60.5 mg cholesterol.
