Stookey Stew

Ingredients
Yield: 6 servings
Meat balls:
1 lb. lean hamburger
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
Sprinkle of pepper
Stew:
1 quart home-canned tomatoes
1 quart water
2 cups diced carrots
2 cups diced celery
1 medium onion, chopped
Directions
Combine ingredients for meatballs and form into balls about the size of a large marble. Put in large kettle and add other ingredients. Boil gently for 1 hour. Season with more salt and pepper if desired.
Each serving contains 331 calories, 14.5 g fat, 28 g carbohydrate, 728 mg sodium, 66 mg cholesterol.
