Glazed Yogurt Popcorn
Author: Scripps Howard News Service/Popcorn Institute
Ingredients
2 1/2 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
Yield: 2 1/2 quarts
Prep time: 1 hour
Directions
Put popped popcorn in a large bowl. In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, combine yogurt, brown sugar and corn syrup. Cook and stir over medium heat to the hard-ball stage (250 degrees on a candy thermometer attached to the side of the pan). Don't try this recipe without a candy thermometer; the temperature must be exact. Pour the syrup over popcorn, stirring to coat.
Note: 2 tablespoons of kernels yield about 1 quart popped popcorn.
