Best Ever Granola Squares
Ingredients
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Yield: 24 pieces
4 1/2 cups packaged or homemade granola
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Spread granola in a 9-by-13-inch pan; set aside.
Directions
In a 4-cup glass measure combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Cook uncovered at MEDIUM for 2 minutes or until mixture boils; stir in condensed milk. Cook, uncovered, at MEDIUM for 6 minutes, stirring well once each minute. Add vanilla; pour over granola and blend. Press evenly into pan. Cool and cut into squares. (Nuts, butterscotch or chocolate chips may be added.)
Each serving contains 114 calories; 2 gm fat; 52 mg sodium; 1 mg cholesterol.
