Claiborne's Honey Pecan Pie
Author: "The New York Times Cook Book"
Ingredients
1 9-inch pie crust
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup light brown sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecan halves
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine all ingredients except the pecan halves. Pour into prepared pie plate. Arrange the nut halves on top in any desired pattern. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the filling is set and the pastry is golden. Makes 8 servings.
Each serving contains 422 calories; 22 gm fat; 225 mg sodium; 95 mg cholesterol.
