Mom's Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons flour
2 cans (15 oz.) Chef Boy-ar-dee spaghetti sauce
4 cups tomato juice
1 small onion, diced
1 small green pepper, diced
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Melt shortening in large pot; add flour to make a paste. Add spaghetti sauce and tomato juice. Mix well and simmer on low heat. Add onion, green pepper, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 3-4 hours on low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Add meatballs if desired and serve with spaghetti noodles. Makes 6-8 servings.
