Glazed Graham Crackers

Ingredients
12 graham crackers, in 1/4 sections
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 to 2 cups sliced almonds
Combine butter, margarine and sugar; bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes without stirring. Sprinkle almonds over crackers; drizzle syrup over crackers on a greased 10-by-15-inch pan. Bake immediately at 350 degrees for 11 minutes. Remove from pan at once. Makes 48 cookies.
Directions
Optional Glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar, pinch of salt, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 12 tablespoon light corn syrup. Combine ingredients; add enough hot water to make a heavy syrup and spread over crackers.
Each cracker, without optional glaze, contains 330 calories; 6 gm fat; 396 mg sodium; 5 mg cholesterol.
