Barbecue Chicken and California Cheddar Pizza

Ingredients

1/2 cup plain tomato sauce
1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce
1-pound long loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
3/4 pound (3 cups) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 pound cooked chicken, coarsely chopped into bite-size pieces
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped


Directions

Preheat broiler. In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce and barbecue sauce. Spread evenly over cut surfaces of bread. Sprinkle each side evenly with cheese. Top with chicken, red onion and cilantro. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 3 minutes.
