Monkey Pops
Author: "The Life of Food" by Clare Crespo
Ingredients
6 ounces chocolate chips
1/4 cup milk
4 bananas
8 Popsicle sticks
16 pumpkin seeds (or any large, flat seeds)
16 sesame seeds
Mini white-chocolate chips
Directions
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Combine chocolate chips and milk in a bowl and heat until melted. Peel the bananas, cut them in half and put a Popsicle stick in the flat ends of each. Place 2 pumpkin seeds in each banana for ears, then dip the bananas in the chocolate. Lay the bananas on the wax paper to dry. Decorate your monkeys with two white chocolate chips for eyes and two sesame seeds for nostrils. Freeze the bananas for at least an hour. Once the monkeys are frozen, use a butter knife to cut out their mouths.
