Ingredients

4 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 cup sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 150 F.

Place a piece of foil on a 14-by-17-inch baking sheet and spray with nonstick pan spray. Mix the applesauce and sugar together thoroughly; spread this mixture evenly about 1/8-inch thick over the foil in the pan. Place the pan in the very low-heat oven and leave overnight or until dehydrated, at least 4 to 6 hours. Allow to cool, then peel the fruit leather off the foil and place on plastic film. Roll up into rolls, ready to eat as desired. Your children may enjoy creating their own different shapes by using cookie cutters to cut out the leather.
