Gingersnaps

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening (Crisco)
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon cloves (ground)
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons soda
3 1/2-4 cups flour


Directions

Cream together butter, shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add molasses, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, soda and flour. Roll in walnut-size balls. Bake 6-7 minutes. Do not overbake. Sprinkle with sugar. Remove from cookie sheet to cool.
