Ingredients
This lemon sauce can be served hot or cold over fresh fruit and cake.
Directions
1 egg
2 egg yolks
Grated peel of 1/2 lemon
Juice of 2 lemons (6 tablespoons)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Dash of salt
In a saucepan, lightly beat the egg and yolks; add the remaining ingredients. Cook over low heat, stir constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5-8 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
