Strawberry Ice

Ingredients

2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
6 cups strawberries, hulled and pureed
1/4 cup lemon juice


Directions

Combine sugar and water in saucepan. Stir to dissolve sugar and bring to a boil. Lower heat; simmer 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature; refrigerate. Combine strawberries, sugar syrup and lemon juice. Pour into ice cream maker. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions. Makes 4 cups.
