This movie is definately in my list of favorites. Obviously lots of people just don't get it. Their loss. Sure, it is no 6th Sense, but it is still great.

This is a one of a kind film. One that keeps our interest through its incredible pacing and its brilliant acting. Shyamalan's story resonates with incredible power and unbeatable suspense that only he can bring. And as for the ending, brilliant. It surprises you, and makes perfect sense. If you pay full attention to the film, like this guy obviously didn't, you would notice hints and clue left along the way. And though Sam Jackson's hair is quite silly, it is in pure comic book style, and as he did in Pulp Fiction, he overpowers the ridiculous hair buy putting in an undeniably powerfull performance. Unbreakable is a film that provokes thought and stays with you long after you see it. Unbreakable is unmissable.

This movie was thrilling! It's amusing to hear people talk about how UNREALISTIC this movie is.. Uhh.. it's a fantasy, not a documentary. You don't hear people rating James Bond movies lowly for the incredibly unrealistic things that happen in those movies. The only thing I would have changed about the movie was to show more heroic acts or visions in the end.

Any comic book aficionado/a would enjoy this brilliant movie for what it is. Those who insist on a formulaic gorefest will leave sorely disappointed. You decide.

[ **1/2 out of ****] This movie started out really slow and actullay for a while ranked very high.Bruce Willis isone terrfic actor and he proves it here. What else can you say about Samuel L Jackson, after SPhere and the awful Rules Of Engament he deserves something good and for a while this movie fit the bill. It has the same creepiness of 6TH Sense and the same wonderful acting all around. But unlike the 6TH Sense it has an awful ending.I felt ripped off.I mean you spend almost 100 mins wrapped up in a deeply textured and sometimes fascanating story and the last minute pulls it all a part that was the real shame of the movie.

I thought so. It seems to me that what we've got here is a case of where the audience totally misses the point. They thought it was going to be an action movie! How is it that they couldn't understand that it's a character drama? If you look on the Mr. Showbiz website, their review noted that it's not an action movie. Sheesh. Anyway, while it's far from perfect, and the ending was a bit of a letdown, the movie managed to be a pretty good character drama, with some good use of the urban neighborhoods in Philadelphia, where I and also Shyamalan and Willis come from, and both Willis and Jackson give good performances.

This was fabulous! The ending was great, and it was a lot better than 6th Sense! How could u give it 1 star?

I thought that this movie made no sense all through out the movie I could not figure out what was going on. Did David really have super-hero powers or was he just a victim of Jaliha's terrorist actions? The filming of this movie drove me crazy.

I would like to rate this zero stars...turkey doesn't really fit. This is a terrible, scary, violent movie. I can't believe it was only rated PG-13. It starts out okay, but the last 20-30 minutes are very violent and depict and/or allude to some of the most evil acts capable by humans. I wish I could erase the whole movie from my memory.

My husband and I went with no expectations of this movie, having heard the worst, and were pleasantly surprised. It has an interesting premise, and, I thought, plenty to think about by the end. If you want more, use your imagination.

My husband and I went to see "Unbreakable" last night. Having read almost all of these comments beforehand, I was a little sceptical about how I would like it (I loved "Sixth Sense" and was not in the mood to be disappointed, you know what I mean?). Well, lemme tell ya, I loved this movie! Granted, the ending was pretty... well, it wasn't the best way to end such an intriguing story, that's for sure. I agree with Jeff Vice, the ending was a little too much to ask of the audience, thus the two star rating. But to participate in the story itself was wonderful. I was riveted. And near the middle/end, when he begins to realize his incredible potential, wow, the suspense was delicious. I think I broke my husband's hand I was gripping it so hard! If you're into fluffy movies like Charlie's Angels or the Grinch, then you probably won't have the patience for this movie. But if you like suspense, if you're willing to let the story take you in a little, if you dig the whole idea of "what if..." then you should try "Unbreakable," see what you think.

The worst movie I've ever seen, next to the Bone Collector. Stay home. Or see Chicken Run.

Stink! Stank! Stunk! The critics are lambasting The Grinch, yet seem to like this movie. I was either sleeping throughout or fidgety for the end to FINALLY happen. Then when it does, I scratched my head at the total implausibility of the entire movie and particularly the ending. Save your ticket, popcorn, and baby sitting money for ANY other flick than this!!! As usual, the critics got it totally wrong!!!

Besides a plot that could have been a short, and an ending that was clearly overreaching, the cinematography was distracting. (let's look through this crack, now that one, now back and forth, now into a mirror, now between curtains, back and forth. This was innovative in Citizen Kane, but now is like too much sugar in the pie. All best summarized by the first comment at the end of the movie from the fellow next to me----"That was dumb!"

I was not impressed with this film. This would have to be the ONE film that I agree with Jeff Vice on (and that is hard to admit). M. Shamalayan tried to hard, the plot was not well developed. At the end, it left you with kind of a sick feeling. Shamalayan made his token appearance in this film, just as he did in the Sixth Sense. I didn't like Bruce Willis' character much. This movie is about comic book hero's and it just becomes strange. I do not like Samuel L Jackson in this film at all and I am surprised he took this role. I would recommend this movie, only if you got to see it at the dollar theatre on .50 day. Be prepared for a strange film. Shamalayan failed in making a film as riveting and surprising as Sixth Sense.

My reaction to the surprise ending was bewilderment. OK, movies are not logical, but to buy into Unbreakable's ending you must accept that *testing* 100-folks here and another 500-folks there ... alacazam, you just discovered the one-in-a-billion fellow (Bruce Willis) that you were searching for. GIVE ME A BREAK!

I enjoyed Unbreakable a lot more than Jeff Vice. I feel anyone who has ever collected comic books and understands a number of them (not as just drawings and little tales, but as an actual form of serious storytelling) will really enjoy this film. To me the storyline of the movie would be perfect for a storyline of a comic book, and a rather good one at that. The idea is simple but the depth of the storytelling is wonderful. I enjoyed Willis's and Jackson's performances, and Jackson's hair cut is awesome to say the least. I do agree that some viewers may be put off by a lot of the film, especially the ending, but why should they. I'm, restricted to go any deeper with my "comic book" parallel, due to the fact that it will ruin the movie, but the look of the film is great, the acting is great, and the score is great. This isn't a perfect film by any means, but I really thought it's one of the year's best. M. Night Shyamalan is on his way to becoming a newer version of Alfred Hitchcock.

I have to admit, the storyline is intriguing but, about halfway in, this movie falls flat on its face. I kept waiting and waiting and WAITING for it to deliver something semi-riveting but to avail. I sat there, fighting off sleep, trying to think of any excuse to get up and buy more candy and popcorn just to escape the monotonous torture of this film. And the end???? HUH? How STUPID does the director think we are? When the credits rolled (FINALLY) the four people in our party just looked at each other and shook our heads. I think that I can sue the makers of this movie for the irreplaceable loss of 2 hours of my life. Wait for the video, and then still rent something else. ANYTHING else.

As always, Jeff Vice is completely wrong about another terrific movie (see his review of Titanic). Unbreakable had me from the beginning and kept me in every scene and with every word---glued to the screen. The ending is spectacular and begs for a sequel. I can't wait to see it again so that I can discover how many clues were offered up regarding the ending. (just like Sixth Sense). Our society is so much about instant gratification and immediate explanations that it is wonderful to go see a movie where little treasures of information are offered up to a climaxing revelation that feels like someone just brushed a feather across the back of your neck. The group of individuals in the theater when I saw this movie on opening day were all smiles. Jeff needs to go to the movies with a sense of adventure rather than an intense need to criticize art that asks for intelligent thought and imagination. Jeff face it---you have been wrong a lot and you are wrong again.
