Reader comments: Tomcats

If you want to see an awful, awful film about bouncing testicles, testicular cancer, uncontrollable erections, horny overweight women and oral sex then go see TOMCATS, because that's all this tasteless, misogynistic comedy will offer to anyone. This film can't even match the intelligence of Adam Sandler films to The Man Show, and people said Freddy Got Fingered was bad, look at this S**T! This movie is merely an excuse to show off some great-looking bimbo women, an endless array of bad-taste gags and a cheaply sentimental cop-out ending. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Movies like this only further justificate my claim that our sense of humor as an American filmgoing public has been reduced to a simple fart joke.

You gave this movie a turkey and I do not agree with that. I do agree that they did not finish some of the thigs that they started in the movie, but I thought that this movie was extremely funny and for for you to give this extremely funny movie a turkey it bugs me because now other people that dont have your same sense of humor will read your article and maybe miss out on one very funny movie. So next time when you are thinking about giving a movie a turkety think about all of the people that might actually like the movie. Which is everyone that I know who saw the movie. Any way I thought it was good

While the movie has no socially redeming qualities it was still a great movie. I did not go to see this movie thinking it was a romantic drama. I went to go see it because it is a funny sex related, stupid slapstck movie. This movie follws the class of other movies like "Half- Baked" and "Joes Apartment". This movie is exactly the movie I wanted to go see. It's not a documentry it a funny comedy with almost no plot. Thats what I wanted to see.

THIS FILM IS A COMEDY... NOT SOPHIE'S CHOICE. YOU MISSED IT. THIS IS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE SINCE AMERICAN PIE.

Oscar-winning performances and an award-winning screenplay mark this as perhaps the best sophomore effort ever. Easily surpasses the emotional intensity of Cast Away.
