Reader comments: K-PAX

the leads were very good, but the story line lacked
cohesiveness. there were times i was on the edge of my
seat and then would lose interest as the story would go off
on a tangent. the supporting cast did a fine job. plus
the value of family expressed in this off the wall sci-fi
flick was refreshing. i would give this movie one half
star more...its worth watching but is overall slow moving
untill the end.

I liked K-PAX. There is a view of life and the universe
expressed at the ending that I don't agree with, but the
movie is both thoughtful and thought provoking. To me it's
a
movie you have to see at least twice. I enjoyed the
questions the movie raised. Is the main character insane,
or
is he just being guided to the care he needs by an
empathetic co-habitating alien intelligence that can travel
on a beam of light? The movie doesn't answer all the
questions it poses, so it leaves your imagination some room
to exercise. I liked the overall optimistic view of life,
even though life can inflict terrible pain upon some, and
requires some suffering of all of us.

For Science Fiction fans, remember how you felt after
seeing Phenomenon and this will be the same. I did like
this movie but it didn't go the way I wanted it to. I do
think Kevin Spacey gives an Academy Award-winning
performance! I got to pick the movie and now after reading
the reviews, I wish I would have picked Monsters, Inc. Oh,
well, that's life, isn't it?
