Reader comments: The One

Man, this movie was cool! The fighting was great and the story was neat I thought. In the movie there is more than one universe in fact there is a whole bunch. So there is like one Jet Li in each universe. In one universe Jet Li accidently shoots himself in another universe and he gets power from that. He is very strong and can move really fast. He wants to kill all his other selves because he thinks he will be a god. So he can be "The One"!

The most infuriating and painful movie to sit through since 'Eyes Wide Shut.' Not that I am making a content comparison between the two, in fact, 'The One' is not only painful to watch, but the greatest example of immature film making in recent history. My advice: Don't even rent it if it is the only thing in at the store. Do laundry instead, a far more interesting prospect.

Jeff Vice goes on and on blah blah blah. What I got out of his review is that there was some cool special effects, but when I saw the movie, there was cool action too. True, Jet Lee isn't much of an actor, but there is some kick butt action in this movie. I kept waiting for all the lameness that Jeff went on and on about, but I was thoroughly entertain watching this film. If you like action, ignore Jeff's comments.
