Reader comments: Carrington

This may well rank among my favorite of all films I have ever seen in my 52 years. The cinematography was well above average, the music of Michael Nyman is on the same par as anything Kubrick picked for his films, the acting well above-average, the editing is wonderful, and the story of true, albeit somewhat dysfunctional, love is for me memorable and touching. Pryce and Thompson work perfectly together. This may go done as Pryce's finest work. I admit to having watched this film over twenty times and upon each new viewing I get a different sense of the characters, their subtle variations, and their outlook on life. I would recommend this film to anyone who has ever truly loved another. The acting will put you right up there on the screen with the characters!
