Reader comments: About a Boy

This was my personal favorite movie to come out last year. Hugh should have received an oscar nomination for his role. He pulls off being a total jerk but still at the end of the movie you love the guy. The pacing maybe be slow for somebody with ADD, and yes the language was a little....colorful, but all around an entertaining, funny, touching story. Check it out if you can.

English movies are becoming synonymous with the word, slow. This one was as slow as a movie could get and not call it a photograph. Boring. Maybe see it at the dollar movie if someone gives you a dollar.

My husband and I went to see it for our anniversary, partially because the critics loved it so much. Our mistake. We found the language offensive for a PG13 movie and the plot was too off the wall for us to really enjoy it. We should learn to avoid Hugh Grant movies altogether.
