Reader comments: Red Dragon

Red Dragon cannot compare to Manhunter, which was also adapted from Thomas Harris' book. Manhunter's characters had more depth, style, had better pacing and realism. Red Dragon is a poor imitation that leaves much to be desired from the first version.

this movie was excellent. i had a chance to catch the sneak preview and I'm glad I did. I think this one's going to be big and is an excellent introduction to Silence of the Lambs. Edward Norton and Anthony Hopkins are amazing. It was also a little less gory than the first two and more suspensful. Still pretty gory though. Go see it!
