Reader comments: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life

Actually, I didn't like it as much as the first one in that you don't get the fun "tomb puzzles". I felt as though they could have cut back on the struggle for the "map" and left room for a nicer location for the Box. A better ending would have been nice too. A big boss would have been better.

For what it was......it was highly entertaining. Set your sights to be simply entertained and you will not be disappointed. This is one terrific popcorn movie. Reminds me of the cheap Saturday matinees I used to see as a kid.....but it was never done like this! One fun set piece after another with no plot to get in the way. Beats the first film because it makes no attempt at character development as the first installment did. Close ups of Jolie's ...(er)......(um)....lips, yes, that's it, her lips, have to be seen to be believed! Will not have the same impact on the small screen....

It was better than the first one. You do not need to be a fan of the video game to see the movie. It stands on its own.
