this was the best movie ive seen in a long long time!! it was...more than words can say, but to put it in words, it is a must see film and should get an award for the best screen play.

This was a great movie with an all-star cast. Owen is fantastic as Arthur and knightley is great as Gweniviere. The script is well written and gives a diffrent side to the usual king arthur legend. A must see, worthy of owning on dvd.

This was a welcome break from the usual king arthur story we here. It contained some of the original elements, but told the story in a diffrent, and i think, more entertaining way. All in all, it was a great movie.

For me the history connection was the "value added" in this version of the Arthur tale. We know that Briton became a Roman colony back in the time of Caligula. And we know about the swash and buckle of the middle ages (without Rome). What we've not seen portrayed is how Briton became independent of Rome. The value of this story is that it's not just about Arthur, Guinavere, and Lancelot -- ala Camelot. It's about how their story fit into the big picture of historical events. That was new. That was interesting. And that, for me, was what made the movie worth seeing and makes it a "keeper" when it appears on DVD. That being said, it would be valuable if they'd make their "extensive research" available so that we understand the documentation behind the screenplay. Arthur sites certainly haven't caught up with this version of history.
