Reader comments: Ray

a typical movie that no one sees til its on hbo. you got to hand it to jamie foxx. he is a heck of an actor, who can handle a role like this. The last time he did a role with this much complexity was in ali. he gets overlooked often, because he has the "comedian" stereotype. kudos jamie foxx, he was ray charles for a few hours and made me feel like i knew ray by the end of the movie. i liked the dark, dank smoke filled bars and the total move to the fifties and sixties. i took my children, and they enjoyed it, although a few scenes were a bit risque. but, what the heck, they live with me and i run around in my drawers. i would give this movie a good look over on the big screen before it goes out of the theatres
