This film does a FABULOUS job of showing the political and
economic dynamics involved in the crusades, explaining the
many motives behind the crusades, and making history come
to life. Our whole family enjoyed this movie because we
like history and historically based films. We found the
violence in this film to be less offensive than that found
in Revenge of the Sith.

In an intensely grand and glorious slaughter, the casualty
most to be mourned and missed is good storytelling. This
film is nearly as disappointing as it is pretentiously
grandiose.
