Reader comments: Dark Water

DAVE | Jul. 22, 2006
This movie was murky, mucky, messed up, and damp--and not because of all the water in it. It had a very evil feeling to it toward the end, was way too long, and didn't sit well with me. It probably was meant to be disturbing, and everyone was a suspect in it, but I agree with Mr. Vice in that the first possible ending would have sufficed and it would have been scary enough, but it takes a twist for the worst and is quite disturbing. It tries to save itself in the end, but still leaves the viewer with a cold and damp feeling (perhaps that was its purpose for a film called "Dark Water," but that is not something I find entertaining in a film).
