Reader comments: Just Like Heaven

Just Like Heaven is one of the best chick flicks among many. It's got the humor, the sense, and the story. Reese Witherspoon is great in this movie, one of her best that's she's done, besides Legally Blonde. Some of the content in this movie is inapropriate, and it does have language. Just Like Heaven is a really good movie. If you don't know what to get at the movie store, look for this movie, it's really great.

A guy's perspective: Great Movie! Yeah, it's a chick flick, and yeah, it's a retread of Topper, Harvey, Ghost, etc, but there are some laugh-outloud moments. Heder was a little over-cliched ("Righteous!"), and I think he, the scriptwriter and director should have had more fun with his role (like Whoopie got into hers in Ghost). A couple of times the plot plods more than it should. Ruffalo was okay... I think he could have been a bit more "manly" as he was kind of an irritating weenie...., and she just doesn't have a doctor's overbearing "presence" but overall, the movie was entertaining and worth the two bucks admission at the dollar theatre.

I thought this was one of the best chick flicks that have come out this year. My husband liked it beacaue he didn't feel like it sucked all the testastorone from him. The movie was fairly predictable, as are most chick movies. Even though the ending was alittle lame, the movie overall was very enjoyable.

I feel sorry for critics who can't accept a film for what it is. This movie hit on all cylanders for my money. Every criticism logged by Jeff Vice, I viewed as a positive for the film. I felt the film was perfectly balanced and brilliantly edited for the type of movie it was striving to be. If you are in the mood for a romantic comedy that will leave you feeling great at the end and actually wanting to buy the video when it comes out, this movie is for you.

What a GREAT movie!!! It reminded me of a "Return to Me" or "Sleepless in Seattle" type movie. It was a sweet and charming romantic comedy. Even though you can figure out what happened at first you're not quite sure how it's all going to fall together and you want it to all fall together because the characters are likeable and you're cheering them on! I loved it and will definately be purchasing this movie when it's released on DVD. A DEFINATE must see - I'd give it 3 1/2 stars!

Totally delightful, uplifting movie. It asks the question not what have I done with my life, but what am I doing with it, and the story has a life-affirming message along with delightful characters, humor and a little sadness. You'll leave feeling good; how many movies can you say that about nowadays?
