Great movie, enjoyable, you can't help but smile as you watch it, and leave the show. I've seen it twice, going for third time tonite - highly recommended for early teens to 100 years old!

I thought it was an excellent movie. I thought some parts were weird, but i would love to see it again. I loved the music and dancing and i thought it was inspiring.

I loved the movie and while I didn't LOVE Travolta's singing, I didn't hate it either. I do think that he gave the roll a more feminine look than Divine did in the original as he wore actual clothes instead of mumus. I thought Nikki Blonsky as Tracy was a very good choice and as she is a newcomer to the silver screen, I am very impressed. Her spunk jumped off the screen and it was nice to see the unconventional girl, the fat girl, get the guy. Also I have to admit I did like Zac Effron despite his HSM fame and, in my opinion crappiness. I was pleasantly surprised at his skill since HSM pretty much sucked. The rest of the cast was wonderful, the casting couldn't have been done better. Michelle Pfiffer as Velma Von Tussel was inspired and I am thrilled to see her come back after her little break.

When I first saw the previews for this movie I was a little worried that it would be too cheesy or overdone. I worried an Amanda Bynes, Zac Effron and Queen Latifah movie might be a disaster but I was very pleasantly surprised. Bynes' character was cute, Effron did a fantastic job, and Queen Latifah was unusually real. Everybody was just brilliant. Shankman did a wonderful job creating a charming, energetic, genuine film that is just plain infectious and an absolute favorite!

I refuse to let my children see a John Water's film.

I loved this show! the singing is the best! oh man it gave me chills! it was a fun and smart show! I totally am going to go see it again! except it was way weird seeing john travolta as a woman, and there didn't really need to be that dance seen with him and his hubby, but besides that the dancing and singing was so tight!

I agree with Heidi - fantastic show, much more entertaining than I expected. I think Travolta was great, newcomer Nikki Blonski really plays Tracy to a "T"! The music is the big star, I bought the soundtrack and listen to it everywhere!

I echo all of Heidi's sentiments. In addition, I took my two daughters, ages 5 and 7. We all loved the music and energy. They are asking to see it again. The message and music make it a must-see for the whole family.

I absolutely loved the movie! The music...I can't wait to buy the soundtrack. I loved the plots throughout...what a fun musical. Now John Travolta...he was just OK. The other leads really stole the show.

I saw this movie Saturday and really enjoyed it..... Even John Travolta. Not being at all familiar with the story or anything, I was pleasantly surprised with the message of the film. It's hard for me and my children to understand that bigotry existed in the sixties and even to some extent today but the movie is a reminder that there are bigotries of all kinds not just the color of skin. Loved the music, and especially the Tracy Turnbo character. This is a definite buy DVD when it comes out.
