300 had the potential to be so much more than it was. The real story of the 300 is much more fascinating than this testosterone filled wanna be version. I was so hoping for an epic style classic. The true story of this great battle was everything you could ever want and need to make a blockbuster classic that would leave people talking about it for years after. What a let down! It seemed to me that the film makers were more focused on making this bloody and almost fantasy oriented with almost creature like enemies rather than leaning towards a classic Gladiator or Braveheart style film. I?d sure like to see someone take another crack at this story and really do it the way it should be done. I actually found myself chuckling at how silly and stupid some of the ideas they came up with in a few of the battle sequences. It?s was if they couldn?t make up their mind if they wanted to be like a low class Lord of the Rings (fantasy) or a Conan the Barbarian style movie with brawny airbrushed muscle men running around. At least in Conan the muscles were real. Anyway, don?t waste your time and money on this trash. Unless you?re 18 or mentally still 18 years old and are just looking for a gory movie you?ll leave the theatre dissatisfied and disappointed.

I was really looking forward to this movie coming out, but it didn't match any of the hype it was given. The action sequences were amazing, but short, and the only positive of this movie. A lot of it seemed over the top and cliche, which is exactly what the makers were aiming for, because that's how it is in the graphic novel. However, what works there doesn't seem to work so well on the big screen. It's worth seeing, just try not to think about it too much.

This movie was so awsome. I have seen it twice already! Don't see it if you are not ok with gore! The best in a while.
