Not because he gave "Funny Games" a lukewarm review, but because his assessments are always so shallow. The film breaks the "fourth wall . . . to remind the audience it's only a movie"? Really, Jeff? That's your insight? A similar review I would expect from a high school newspaper.

I find violent acts against children more disturbing than ANYTHING.

"which include violent acts that are done to a child and his mother as well as the killing of a family pet." "and violence against women, children and animals" And men too... Don't forget men. I personally don't find violent acts against "children, women, and pets" any more or less disturbing than violent acts against men. But maybe that's just me.

These Funny Games are anything but.
