The first half went pretty well and then the whole plot fell apart. Relationships and characters changed and you're left wondering what in the world is going on. I am a big Will Smith fan but I can't recommend this movie. Plots are allowed a few holes but this one leaves you with too many questions and the "finish" doesn't resolve anything. I agree that the language is nothing you'd want a child to hear.

You have to remember that a movie critic is just another person giving his or her personal feelings about a movie. Yeah, maybe they have some "technical" training that the average person doesn't, but who cares? Whether you will like a movie or not is completely up to you - not some critic. Frankly, I've always been surprised that we even have critics, who just try to tell us what we should or shouldn't like. This wasn't a great movie but it was decent and entertaining.

Don't let the critics keep you from this one. It was a lot of fun, and where some see "jarring narrative flow" I see a movie that isn't as predictable as the usual summer fare. I enjoyed it as much as any other movie I have seen this summer. 3 1/2 stars.

I saw it today during my lunch break, and i cannot help but feel it was hacked to bits. It is common knowledge that is was cut and reshoots were done for a pg-13 rating, and I think that seriosuly damaged this film which could have been brilliant. It is still hilarious and dark and has some great action scenes, but the narrative and flow of tone seems very jarring at times, especially in the end, and it is just too short, wish we had more of a back story and wish it would have been more epic, but I still was entertained, and give Kudos to the 3 leads who turn in great roles, I just wish the film would have been left alone by the studios so we could have got the original R rated version. Also beware, even at a pg-13 rating it is still very adult, not for kids. Limbs get chopped off and there is a lot of language involved, so please leave the little ones at home, otherwise I say go and see it, it is different and entertaining, and I hope we get a directors cut DVD in the fall.

This movie has everything. It is so so so funny. I would definetly recommend seeing it. There are some strange twists in the plot but if by going to the movie you want to be entertained you wil not be disappointed. It is worth the price of admission I can promise you that
