Was a knock-off of the first one, same plot, same formula, just different locations. But, it was still interesting and exciting, clean, funny, engaging. Well-done to the moviemakers who made a clone that was still worthwhile. Recommended!

this movie pretty much the same as the first one.
HOW CAN YOU LIKE A REPEAT? | Jan. 30, 2008
I don't understand how anyone could seriously say that this movie was good. Given the fact that they had almost the exact same plot, script, camera angles and retarded one liners. I actually enjoyed the first one not because it was a great acting expose but because the script was decent and the non stop twists were actually a little interesting. However this film was a knock off of the first film. People just trying to make money, and not doing a good enough job for me to suggest any of my friends spending their money on it!

Trust me that moovie waz an action packed moovie. There were a lot of car chases. This one is better than the first one. They really did a great job. I'd give them 4 1/2 stars it waz soo awesum. The actors they used were very good actors they really related to really smart and funny people it is one of the besst moovis I ever seen this was really worth my 10.00. I wish I could go see that moovie again and again. Itz GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of the funnest movies I've seen all year. Thank goodness there's still a few people in Hollywood who can put together an exciting film that treats America with respect. I was entertained from the beginning to the end. If you want Oscar winning drama...not the film for you. For families though, it's perfect. Kudos to Cage (hairpiece and all) and Voight, I'm sure they must get sneers at Hollywood cocktail parties now, "Didn't you play that 'Gates' character? How quaint." (Sorry, I can't help but take a jab at that pompous crowd that delights in ambiguity.) When I saw the reviews for this film I almost didn't go see it. I've seen it twice and both groups, family and friends loved it.
HMM... | Jan. 2, 2008
As a whole I really did like the movie. However I do have one question: What happened to the villain being a villain? Ed Harris's character was more morally ambiguous. I deal with enough of those and I was kinda looking forward to a black and white, good v. evil, right v. wrong, etc. Over all though a fun little movie and I'd recommend seeing it.

Must be good if Jeff doesn't like it. So far my criteria for viewing movies has been if Jeff doesn't like it then it must be good. How he still has a job I don't know, because he is wrong more often then right.

It wasn't nearly as terrible as the critics have said. Honestly, if you liked the first one, then you'll probably like the second one. It's great flick to take the kids to (no sex or swearing and it moves pretty fast). It's also kinda neat how they weave real historical facts in with some of the most far-fetched, off the wall, credibility stretching things you've ever seen in a movie. But if you weren't expecting that going into this, you're a little slow. It's also fun. It's no Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it's an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon at the theater. Sorry Jeff. Usually I agree with you on most of your reviews, but if you have to critique things like Cage's hair piece and Ed Harris' in accent in order to justify a two star review, you're stretching your own credibility as a critic.
OPPOSITE MAN! | Dec. 26, 2007
Generally speaking, any movie Jeff Vice doesn't like should serve as a resounding recommendation for someone to go see it. In fact he is a most reliable critic if you do exactly opposite of what he recommends. Thanks for the 2 stars which means I'll be going to see this one!

Sorry, Jeff, but you should have dropped your professional critic role, sat back with a large bag of buttered popcorn, and had a little more fun with this movie. The great characters, intrigue, action and implausible story are all back, and the pace is fast-moving! Great fun; highly recommended!
