how sad is this movie! i felt like swearing at the man kevin. he's so nasty to edward. the film made me cry. I'M OBSSESED WITH IT!!!!!! i did'nt understand why the proffesor died. i love the bit, where it says: "hold me." "i can't." it touched me! johhny is cute in this film. and in pirates of the carribean.

well it's vary odd i mean Edward dosent look at all like Jhonny Depp. it's interesting but when that jerk beats up Edward i almost cryed, i mean he maid Edward hurt Kim,he was the one who talked Edward into steeling soo i don't know madey his brain is upside down i don't know. and it's sad when the proffer finally gives Edward his hands, and then he died it's soo sad. and. the worst part is that Edward tears his hands. but what im trying to say is, THAT IS THE BEST FLIPPEN MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

I think that the movie "Edward Scissorhands" is a movie that is unique. The colours, lighting, characters and tone are all different. The part I think as most interesting is the source of colour, how the colour is as it is (a huge variety of sharp and bright). No other movies I've seen have such different senses. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because some of the events didn't really make sense if you really concentrate on it, for instance: Where did Edward get the ice to make ice sculptures? What did he eat while in the mansion on the mountain? This is mainly why I decided to give it a rating of 3 stars.

While I thought of this movie as "showing a good lesson", I did not find it extremely great. I prefer a movie with some variety, I believe most others do as well. I like Sci-Fi, Comedy, Action, in other words, everything. This movie did teach a good lesson, but I can not say that it was comical. I liked it, but when I see it, I don't really feel like watching it, even if there is little else of quality on.

I THINK HOLLY WOOD SHOULD MAKE MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS. THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF MY FAV. MOVIES, JHONNY DEPP DID BETTER THAN GREAT IN HIS MOVIE. HE DID WONDERFUL AND I THINK IF THEY GOT ANY1 ELSE TO DO THE PART IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE GREAT MOVIE IT IS. THIS IA A MOVIE THAT WILL BE IN MY FAMILY 4-EVA

Edward Scissorhands is Tim Burton's best film to date. This is a film that awakens the child in us all. Films like this one are the reason we fell in love with them. It's heartfelt, intelligent, deeply moving, and raises keen issues about acceptance, bigotry, and naivety. Johnny Depp's performance is sheer brilliance, he creates a truly original character. And the screenplay was extremely well- written. About the only problem I had with the film was the ill-conceived climax. Why did an action sequence of such bitterness and cruelty need to be added to such a charming, fantastical film? I wish it would have ended differently. It almost seems as though it were plucked out of a Freddy Krueger movie. And it doesn't gel with what came before it.

I think Edward Sissorhands is a cool movie. But my question is, why is it that we cant seem to find many pictures of the movie on the internet???

Edward Scissorhands is a very pleasant and engaging fantasy about a humanoid who tries to be one of the regular crowd but finds that there are plenty of problems along the way. The movie has quite a bizarre set design, such as the oddly zigzaggeddy suburban streets, and also the inventor's mansion. It made for a pretty engaging 95 minutes. (By the way, try not to change the review date when you repost it in the recent reviews section, it makes it hard to figure out the correct date that the movie was first released on.) And Johnny Depp has a field day as Edward the humanoid.

Edward Scissorhands is without question, a perfect example of a Burton film. It's haunting, beautiful, and has a Chirstmas theme to it. This also is shown in Nightmare Before Christmas and Batman Returns. It's major flaw is a cruel scene in which a boyfriend takes his rage out on Edward. This reflects the weaker element in some of his films which is the solution, or ending to the conflict. But nothing can hide the genius of the movie's imagination.

First off, I love Tim Burton's style. And I think that "Edward Scissorhands" is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The way each character was portrayed in their simplicity along with the simple surroundings left your mind to compute the meaning and emotion rather than details. The musical score was beautiful and the art/layout couldn't have been better. I think that a lot of the qualities seen in "Edward Scissorhands" can also be seen in "Nightmare Before Christmas". I would recomend them both to anyone. April Cougar
