Reader comments: Grosse Pointe Blank

AVI GREEN | Dec. 26, 1999
I found it to be an enjoyable gangster comedy, albeit there was a lot of alarming violence. Did anyone know that Grosse Pointe, which is located in Michigan, once had a law that barred Jews and Blacks from living there? It's a pity to know that they, like some southern states, had racist laws, but fortunately, such things do not take place in this film. It's a surprisingly entertaining vanity project for Cusack, and both he and the rest of the cast are top notch.
