Park City skier is hoping for top 20 in 10K
SOLDIER HOLLOW Park City's Wendy Wagner will begin her 2002 Winter Olympics experience Tuesday as U.S. men's and women's cross country skiers return to action.
Wagner hopes for a top 20 finish in the 10K classic race, which begins at 9 a.m. Norway's Bente Skari, the top women's cross country skier in the world, is favored to win.
On the men's side, two of the nation's future stars will compete in the 15k classic: Kris Freeman and Lars Flora. Six months ago Freeman was diagnosed with diabetes and wasn't expected to make the team.
