Men's hockey: Swiss defeat Belarus despite player suspensions

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah. Already eliminated from the final round and with two of their players suspended for breaking curfew, the Swiss men's hockey team defeated Belarus 2-1 Wednesday.
Jean-Jacques Aeschlimann scored the go-ahead goal at 9:11 of the second period against Belarus (2-1), already assured a spot in the round of eight.
Switzerland (1-1-1) was without forwards Marcel Jenni and Reto Von Arx, both sent home by coach Ron Krueger for violating curfew.
Patrick Fischer scored Switzerland's first goal, at 16:52 of the opening period. Vadim Bekbulatov's goal at 3:42 of the second period draw Belarus even.
