French fest at Tower
The Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, is going European for a week as "French Cinema & Video Art Go to the Olympics."
Sponsored by the French Embassy's Cultural Services Department, this one-week festival, which starts Friday, will highlight French art, including screenings of such recent films as "Amelie," "Girl on the Bridge," "The Widow of Saint-Pierre," "Venus Beauty Institute" and "with a friend like Harry . . . "
These screenings are free, and most of the films have been rated R by the MPAA. The films are in French with English subtitles.
