Fracas isn't over
Yet another controversy within the controversy?
The decision to hold a ceremony to elevate Canadians Jamie Sale and David Pelletier to gold-medal status alongside Russians Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze also sparked heated debate over whose national anthem should be played first.
IOC's Director General Francois Carrard said such details would be outlined before the 8:30 p.m. ceremony.
Carrard promised a "very beautiful ceremony for everyone."
He also said the Canadians' silver medals have already been returned to the IOC.
