      TV: CNBC
      SLAP SHOTS: A rematch of the 1998 semifinal game in which Canada failed to win a memorable shootout with Czech goalie Dominik Hasek, who stopped all five shots he faced. . . . The Canadians continue their quest for their first Olympic gold in 50 years. . . . The Czechs won not only in Nagano but also at each of the last three world championships.
     
SWEDEN VS. CZECH REPUBLIC

      Sunday, 4 p.m.
      TV: CNBC
      SLAP SHOTS: Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin had two goals and one assist for the Swedes in their 5-2 win over Canada on Friday. . . . Pittsburgh Penguins captain Jaromir Jagr had two goals and two assists for the Czech Republic in its 8-2 win over Germany on Friday. . . . Expect the goaltending matchup to be Dominik Hasek for the Czechs vs. Sweden's Tommy Salo, the ex-Utah Grizzlies star now playing for the Edmonton Oilers.

      SLAP SHOTS: The Canadians plan to start Martin Brodeur in goal. . . . Germany likely goes with Marc Seliger, who was brilliant in preliminary-round play. Backup Christian Kuenast started Friday's 8-2 loss to the Czechs but exited after allowing four goals on 16 shots. . . . The Germans had hoped to have Washington Capitals goalie Olie Kolzig today, but latest reports indicate he'll remain out with a knee injury. . . . Expect Canada to insert defenseman Ed Jovanovski into its lineup. He did not play in Friday's 5-2 loss to Sweden.
     
UNITED STATES VS. BELARUS

      Monday, 11 a.m.
      TV: NBC
      SLAP SHOTS: If American coach Herb Brooks decides to give all three of his goalies a start before the quarterfinals, the call goes to Tom Barrasso of the Carolina Hurricanes. . . . On the heels of Friday's 6-4 loss to Russia, qualifier Belarus was humbled in an 8-1 loss to Finland on Saturday. . . . The USA beat Belarus 5-2 in final-round Olympic play at Nagano in 1998.
     
RUSSIA VS. FINLAND

      TV: NBC
      SLAP SHOTS: Blanked by the USA on Friday, Teemu Selanne and Olli Jokinen had two goals apiece in Finland's 8-1 win over Belarus on Saturday. . . . The Russians were idle Sunday after playing late Saturday night against the United States. . . . Russia beat the Finns 7-4 in a semifinal game to advance to the gold medal game at Nagano, where it lost to the Czech Republic.
