Airport crowds
KSL-TV
Crowds of people, mostly Olympic visitors stood in line for all of the airlines to depart Salt Lake on Sunday.
However, the rule of thumb to arrive two hours in advance of a scheduled flight, still prevented many passengers from making their flights.
Anna Jensen of Denmark says she, "Got here more than two hours before our flight, which should be enough. We were told two hours early should be enough. But I guess it wasn't."
"It's frustrating," says Mike Sheffield. "I expected it to be bad, but it's worse than I expected."
Security was tight, with both carry on and checked luggage being inspected for things such as explosives.
And a word to the wise: Next Sunday is suppose to be the busiest day in the history of the Salt Lake airport, so plan accordingly.
