HELLO THURL,
I FOUND THE STORY ON YOUR "WONDERFUL LIFE" TO BE VERY INTERESTING AND MOVING. YOU MAKE ME PROUD TO BE YOUR UNCLE(BY MARRIAGE). YOU HAVE ALWAYS INSPIRED TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU COULD BE, PLUS A LITTLE BIT MORE.

IT IS TRULY A BLESSING TO SEE AND HEAR OF YOUR PAST AND PRESENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS. CONTINUE YOUR WORK WITH THE CHURCH AND YOUR MANY OTHER FUNCTIONS, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND THE FAMILY.

ME AND THE FAMILY SEEM TO HAVE DRIFTED APART, BUT I STILL GET A CHRISTMAS CARD FROM YOUR SISTERS EVERY YEAR.

LOOKING TO HEAR FROM OR SEE YOU SOON.

I LOVE YOU,

UNCLE MILES

Brother Thurl,

It's been a long day. I needed be uplited so I turned on the BYU Channel and your fireside was just beginning. I actually didn't catch you being introduced but what followed truly gave me the lift I needed. I wanted to learn more about you so I googled your name and this is one of the sites that came up. Thank you for sharing!!! You and your family ARE an inspiration.
Years ago I stopped caring about and watching Pro-Basketball because of our local Portland team, the Jail-Blazers, but, even they seem to have turned over a new leaf lately and I seem to be cheering for them. I want to care. I want to cheer, but, I long to cheer for righteousness and goodness not just winning.
Well, I am cheering for you. The journey is so hard sometimes and I pray, oh how I pray, that you and I can stay the course, endure the flames and come out brighter. We need you so much! Your spoken word, your music, your light and love are like manna to a starving world. May you be blessed in your efforts. KNOW that I am cheering for you!

Thurl, you have truly been a blessing to people all over the world. I feel very privilaged to be able to get to know your story and the man behind the scene. I know that you will be a success with whatever you choose to persue because you are a very warm and caring person and those that need a lift can always count on just that. Thank you for all that you do to brighten the world and make it a little better than what it was.... I am blessed to be counted as a friend of such a truly sincere and humble person.
