Thanks for writing an informative piece. I am a hospice volunteer and am trying to learn how to prepare for this occurance in others. But it is comforting to think that we are welcomed on the other side. Thanks for using science and research to support our spiritual connections. I especially liked the wrap. Nice quote!

My Father-In-Law was under Hospice care and passed away peacefully in our home from advanced Prostate Cancer. He was communicative up until the last 18-24 hours. He had several episodes of seeing things when close to death (looking back through hindsight).
One time he saw a long dead relative, whom he was happy to see, another time he expressed wonderment at a large tractor "outfit" he saw, except he was on the 6th floor of Hospital wing at the time, and could see nothing but blue skies from his bed.
Great article.

After the death of my sweet and cherrished grandmother, I read accounts of near death experiences and it really comforted me and gave me hope to see her again and feel her embrace. I really feel I will. Thanks for your research.
