I personally adored this sitcom. It's a comedic television show, how realistic can it be? And I truly fail to understand how Hendrie's personality has anything to do with the show's apparent lack of success. He is one actor of an ensemble. Next time - please consider the cast as a whole! If Hendrie turns you off, there are several other talents to amuse yourself with. I do not find this to be a balanced review.
