This story of the Bishop's is incredible. Just browsing to look up info. about the disease and ran across this story. I have a patient who has this disease. I noted in her records that her husband has said that she's better off when she's in the nursing home. Now I have a better understanding of what the patient & the family of this patient are going through. There is no cruelty in ECF placement as the mental deterioration progresses. These patients are often difficult to handle in ECF's as well as in psychiatric hospitals, I cannot imagine the trials a family goes through when one of their loved ones is attacked by Huntington's. Thank you for such an invaluable learning experience; the information of which I can pass on to my peers....
