C. H. Spurgeon's sermon on "The Sluggards's Farm" is an example of why work is important in the life of a Christian. I would recommend it be read by anyone who has questions about work ethic for Christians.

I live in the Midwest. I am a Christian. I don't remember ever hearing a sermon on work ethic, however, work ethic is a well-known strength in this part of the country..... and why wait for a sermon, pick up a Bible and read about it. It all there.
