I'm for the FDA to have the power of recall for consumer products for the obvious reasons in the last round of manufacturer neglect, especially on imported products. Make the manufacturer prove safety and compliance to safety. But I am against the Seal of Approval stamping of products. Manufacturers would carry this too far and put it on all products and not specifically approved products. Then it will create an irresponsible FDA passing off on products without serious approval. The FDA should not be offering blanket approval to any manufacturer or business, we would end up with what we already have. The FDA should also be more involved in approving new drugs and medicines and the dangers they involve with taking them. Drug manufacturers are already claiming FDA approved drugs without any testing by the FDA. The FDA should be held accountable for any manufacturer claiming approval by the FDA when there is no testing done. Do not give any benefit of doubt to manufacturers, we can't trust them when large amounts of money and profit are invloved. They are not above telling the truth or lies to sell their products.
