Two million of us served 'in country' in Vietnam. Most of us were able to rotate out after 1 year of service. (President Johnson's Big mistake.)
I stayed extra years 1967-1970 because the new men needed training and experience to keep them alive..
We now have men and women that have been in Iraq 3 and 4 times. I honor their devotion and their experience.
They are getting the job done over there, because of their experience, few are being killed or wounded. The Iraqs are helping to get rid of Al-Quada because they know our troops are there to help them. Good Job and honor to our experienced men and women in Iraq.
/after thought- I would rather have spent 3 years on a mission for the LDS Church trying to convert North Vietnamese, instead of killing them.

One source I saw said the last World War II vet will not die until 2032, so we have plenty of time to honor those brave soldiers.
