Living in Sanpete county this is a sad sad sign. This is those in the county giving the finger to business and those that want to bring business, tax dollars, and jobs to the county. I am very very ashamed of the people in this county that can't figure out that a bond doesen't mean a loan, dosen't mean higher taxes, etc... We needed the court house and the jobs it would have brought in.

The final outcome of this issue clearly shows how our form of government works according to the will of the people. Whether one supported the bond issue or opposed it, the fact that a majority of the citizens of Sanpete decided this outcome is what matters. If this had occured in one of many other nations, the state would have simply done as the few in power commanded, and that would have been the end of it.

Yes, it may have brought in jobs, but guess who the jobs would have been given to. They would have been given to friends and relatives of people already working in the court house. That is how Sanpete County works, it doesn't matter what you know, it matter who you know.
